Why was the survey conducted? The survey was conducted to 1). Evaluate various operational aspects of the leagues, 2) To better understand the needs of players in the WAFC community, and 3). To generate ideas for further improvements to the WAFC experience.
How many WAFC players took part in the survey? 634 started the survey, a response rate of nearly 28%.
How will the results be used? WAFC leadership has spent many hours studying the results. They are committed to using the survey results as a guide for on-going improvements to league operations as well as other changes to enhance the experience for all players. The results will also be incorporated into the soon-to-be released WAFC PR kit. This kit will be used as a communication vehicle to help outside groups (e.g. local media, potential field contacts, potential sponsors, etc.) to understand the game of ultimate and the WAFC organization.
Why was personal information, such as age, gender or income, asked in the survey? Some demographic questions were used to segment the results for more detailed analysis. For example, it's valuable to know how males/females or younger/older players differed in their ratings of the WAFC experience. In addition, some demographic information may be used in the WAFC PR kit to provide a profile of players in the WAFC community.
Who should I contact if I have a question about the survey? Contact Tim Herbert and he will direct your question to the appropriate WAFC person. ![]()
